The curriculum for Junior High School is designed to strengthen the academic skills that were introduced in elementary school, while also helping students discover their interests and abilities in more specialized fields. The DepEd (Department of Education) mandates a comprehensive set of subjects for all Junior High School students:
- Languages:
- Filipino: Focuses on reading, writing, and oral communication in Filipino, including literature and language use.
- English: Includes grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and speaking skills.
- Chinese- Mandarin: Includes vocabulary, grammar, sentence construction
- Mathematics: Algebra, geometry, statistics, and basic trigonometry are typically taught. These subjects help prepare students for more advanced math in Senior High School.
- Science: Topics like biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science are covered, with a focus on scientific inquiry and experimentation.
- Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies): History, economics, geography, civics, and current events are explored in this subject, focusing on both local and global perspectives.

- General Academic Strand (GAS)
- Designed to prepare students inclined toward general areas rather than specialized fields. Specialized courses are chosen from the different strands: Humanities, Social Sciences, Applied Economics, Science and Mathematics.
- This will give the students more general knowledge who are still undecided on what strand and major to take for college
- Accountancy and Business Management Strand (ABM)
- ABM Strand provides an introductory course that teaches students the basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations, human resources, and office management.
